College Prep
Early College and Virtual
All Antelope Valley Union High School District students are prepared for college courses by taking classes that meet university prerequisites. The District also offers SOAR (Students on the Academic Rise) High School — an early college high school, which allows students to take college courses and finish their Associates Degree (first two years of college) while in high school. SOAR is located on the Antelope Valley College campus and emphasizes coursework in math, science and engineering. For students who need a more flexible learning schedule, we offer an online education program, Virtual Academy, which allows learning to happen at home, on the road, or wherever internet is available. Attendance, teacher interaction and daily lessons are conducted online, however, in-person teacher support is readily available.
